Family Enrichment Program

ECHO Joint Agreement

The Family Enrichment Program is a Birth to Three Prevention Initiative Program funded by the Illinois State Board of Education. The goal of the program is to assure school success by providing information and support to at risk families with infants and toddlers. The ECHO Joint Agreement provides services to 15 school districts in the south suburban Chicagoland Area.

  • To provide a quality program compliant with the ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) Birth to Three Standards designed to meet the needs of infants and toddlers in at risk communities.
  • To bridge the literacy and learning gap between at risk and advantaged young children.
  • To provide a comprehensive infant curriculum and a comprehensive toddler curriculum based on best practices and research on early brain development and learning.

  • Young children love to learn and should be encouraged to explore the world around them.
  • It is important for parents to share books and scribble with their children every day.
  • A loving home provides the foundation for success in school and in life.
